Colleen Edwards is responsible for the branding and marketing of River Islands\, a master planned community\, which is consistently listed as one of the top-selling communities in Northern California.

\n Coming to the development team after a long and successful career in advertising\, Colleen is responsible for developing the marketing strategy and outreach materials for a community-in-the making of 15\,000 homes\, 6 schools\, a business parks and two retail areas.
\n \;
\n During her career in new homes marketing\, Colleen has authored a book on market research and been featured as a speaker\, columnist\, radio host and podcaster.
\n \;
\n She is the first woman to serve on the board of the BIA of the Bay Area\, was the first female president of the Sales and Marketing Council\, co-founded the Women&rsquo\;s Council (now PWB)\, won more than 100 MAME Awards in her career as President of EMC Creative\, and has received the Chairman&rsquo\;s Award three times.

\n She was inducted into the California Homebuilding Foundation&rsquo\;s Hall of Fame in 2006&mdash\;the first person in marketing to be so recognized--and serves on its Board as a Life Trustee.
\n \;
\n She currently serves as a co-creator and emcee of the BIA&rsquo\;s Annual Women&rsquo\;s Leadership Conference.

\n She finds industry volunteerism highly valuable and serves on the BIA Bay Area Board of Directors\, is the incoming President of the BIA Bay Area Professional Women in Building\, an NAHB PWB Trustee and a member of the Women'\;s Housing Leadership Group. She is an alumna of the University of Central Florida (Go Knights)\, and a proud wife and mom of twin girls.
