DESCRIPTION:The Professional Women in Building Council (PWB) of the Building Industry Association (BIA) is continually working to provide a positive environment where members of all gender identities can learn about educational opportunities\, mentoring and advancing their business knowledge while promoting the home building industry through support of community organizations. Our series aims to be a support system for young professionals seeking non-linear career paths and to amplify established\, diverse voices while building networks for the future generation.\n\n			 \n		\n		\n			Join us for our next virtual event "A Conversation with an Editorial Director:\n\n			\n\n			OUR GUEST SPEAKER: Wanda Lau\, Editorial Director\, LEDs Magazine and Smart Buildings Technology Magazine\n		\n		\n			Wanda Lau is the editorial director of LEDs Magazine and Smart Buildings Technology. Her award-winning work appears in several publications\, including Architect\, where she was previously executive editor. In 2021\, she was named one of Folio: and AdMonsters' Top Women in Media\, in the DEI Champions category. Along with working a decade in the architecture\, engineering\, and construction industry in both technical and communications roles\, she holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Michigan State University\, an S.M. in building technology from MIT\, and an M.A. in journalism from Syracuse University.
